Mr-Ray wins Mashables Google Wave API Challenge!

At the beginning of March Mashable launched a Google Wave API Challenge. The challenge was to create an extension for Google Wave using their new API. There were to be 3 voting categories, Most Fun, Most Useful and Best Use of the Embed API. Then one extension would be picked by a judge as an overall winner.
The winners in the peoples choice categories are Texas Holdem Poker for “Most Fun”, Wave Transformer for “Most Useful” and Resourcy for “Best Use of the Embed API”. Finally we are very proud to announce that the overall winning extension chosen by a judge is… Mr-Ray! Mr-Ray allows you to communicate with people still using e-mail from within Google Wave in an almost seamless way. If you haven’t already you should try him out!

The hype from the launch of Google Wave may be over and now comes the real test. Is it useful? Can Wave make my life easier? People are starting to use it daily and think so; Chris Brogan has written a short post about his experiences with Google Wave over the last few months and is beginning to find that after his initial impressions it is becoming a useful tool! Well check it out! If you’re reading this you are visiting us at our new site! It provides some great new features and there is some great new content too! What else is new on the all new wave.to… oh yeah, we have an identity online! Yeah, we’re no longer borrowing the Google Wave logo we have our own funky wave logo! Tell us what you think about it! Website launch!

The website launches today with robots, gadgets and a sample dekstop client that you may already be aware of. More excitingly though the website launches with a brand new gadget that integrates facebook and Google Wave called iWave. You can check out this new gadget as well as all the other exciting stuff through the links in the menu.
